Built for Decades of Service

Distribution transformers adjust the voltage of electrical power to suitable levels for industrial, commercial and residential use. In Indonesia they are standardized to convert 20 kV to 400 V.

Core

High-quality cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel: strip-wound cores for compact low-noise units, mitered stacked cores for high capacity, and step-lap cores for high capacity and voltage.

Windings

Round magnetic wire, paper-insulated conductor and copper or aluminum foil, for compact size, good heat transfer, low load loss, high impulse withstand and strong short-circuit strength.

Insulation and Bushings

Pressboard, thermally upgraded kraft paper and high breakdown-strength oil. Porcelain bushings, with bushing wells and plug-in bushings on request.

Clamping

Core clamps are made in-house to withstand strong axial electromagnetic forces, critical to safety in an abnormal overload.

Accessories

Rating plate, oil level and temperature indicators, fill and drain valves, lifting lugs, tap changer, base rollers or skid base. Conventional tanks add a conservator with breather, Buchholz relay and dial thermometer; hermetically sealed tanks add a pressure relief device, vacuum gauge and nitrogen valve.
