One Factory for Distribution and Power Transformers, From Design to Final Test

Both of SINTRA’s production facilities sit side by side in Newton Techno Park, Lippo Cikarang. Engineering, winding, core, assembly, drying and a 161 kV test laboratory are all on one site.

Where SINTRA Sits on Indonesia’s Grid

Power leaves the plant, is stepped up to 500 kV for transmission, then stepped down twice before it reaches a socket. SINTRA builds the transformers for the last two steps.

Energized Across the Archipelago

Since 2017, 41 SINTRA 150 kV power transformers have passed Site Acceptance Test at PLN substations, from Sumatera to Papua. Six more are in production.

Built to IEEE/ANSI for the US Market

In technical partnership with TECO and TECO Westinghouse, SINTRA designs and tests transformers to IEEE/ANSI C57 for customers in the United States.

These units serve mining, data centers, oil & gas and heavy industry. Since our first 5,000 kVA FR3 ester-oil unit shipped to Texas in 2024, more than 70 SINTRA-built transformers have gone to the United States, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.
